Yeah, I couldn't believe how many peeps were out there. I was like why ain't these people coming to the CUT? Then it hit me, they obviously don't know about it...So as Garcia passed out flyers, I was tellin people I spun there and that they should come out. We'll see how that worked this Thursday.

  Yup! The De La Soul show was off da' chain!!! Props to everybody that was there. I don't think they were lettin' anybody take pictures or video for some odd reason. Whatever, it's all good, though. PURE HIP-HOP. Peace,

The show was Krazy!!! But I didn't agree with the DJ competion, NVS was way better than Immortal(who fuked up a couple of times) and started breaking $hit to get the crowd's attention :roll: But De La Soul ripped it!!

This had to be one of the best shows I've ever seen. The place was packed, but not to the point where you couldn't breath, plus it was outside in the "backyard" of the I/O. First was a DJ spinnin classics and a big-ass crowd going crazy as b-boys and b-girls did their thing to the music. The crowd was soooo big, I kinda wondered where these people were on Thursday nights. They all went crazy and dude was playing shit we play all the time at the CUT. It's a good thing Garcia gave everybody in that place a flyer... Now they know where to head out on Thursday nights....
Anyways, after the initiall hypness came the DJ battle. All I can say is Wow...the last 2 finalists were nice as fuck, but this kid named Immortal killed it as he was cuttin and doing all this crazy shit. At the end he talks some shit, picks up the record, breaks it on his head and throws the remains at his challenger. It was over!!!!
Then came the emcee battle which was, for the most part, WACK!!!! but that didn't last too long so it was bearable.
Then came De La. These muthafuckas just ripped it!!! They did every classic. Had great stage presence and crowd participation. And just when you thought you couldn't get any hyper, Posdnous (Plug 1) says to everyone, "When I say I, you say I...I! (I!), I! (I!), I!(I!) and then you hear the "Ego Trip" horns playin as we keep on "I! (I!), I! (I!), I! (I!)", and me and damn near everybody in the joint began jumpin up and down when those screams began. Yo, I lost my fucking voice. They put on a great fucking show!!!!! I can't believe it was free, well at least for me. It's great to see cats that's even older than me still rippin shows. And the best news of the night De La fans, the new album will be out in September according to Maceo.
