I just wanted to thank everybody who came out to the Rap Report Show Launch Party on Saturday night. It got off to a late start (as most Miami Hip-Hop events do), but it seems as though everyone arrived in one vehicle. lol
I walked outside to the patio to make some calls and when I walked back in, it was packed! PS sure does fill up nicely, though.
I gotta shout out my crew right quick because they say I NEVER mention them in these little re-caps... so shouts to the ENTIRE THC Crew for givin' the crowd a GREAT SHOW! Destinee was ON POINT as usual (minus the mic cuttin' in and out a couple of times, but that was the soundman's bad)... Rev was FOCUSED, MAAAAN!!! The Young Gunner killed his time onstage as well... I know you wanted to do them 2 new joints, cuzzo, but Saturday was a bit overbooked, so we had NO TIME... sorry. But I GOT YOU NEXT TIME! Also, Bebe did his thing and murdered his verse off "Stunnin"... lastly, Wrek gave me a huge complement, which means a lot because there is nothing as gratifying as having the respect of your peers. Thanks, Wrek. So overall, GREAT SHOW BY THC, if I do say so myself. BTW, CHECK OUT THE VEN'M VIDEO AND DROP SOME FEEDBACK!
I had a great time! Been a minute since I kicked it with Plex, Wrek, Bern, and the rest of the Baggins Fam, so it was definitely a great night. I've always been a fan, but now that Wrek is officially part of the band, I have to say that MAYDAY FUCKIN' ROCKS, DUDE!!! I love the songs, the interludes (the ill beat boxing type shit Bern & Wrek do while killin' time), the stage presence (even though the stage at PS is RIDICULOUSLY SMALL), and everything else about them.
MAYDAY CONTINUES TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE GROUP (and not just in Miami)... love y'all boys!
Another one of my favorite groups, LOCOS POR JUANA, was also represented as my brother Omniscient brought out the lead singer for some ill latin reggae vibes. I was LOVIN' THAT!
Also gotta shout out the newcomers... PAGES! It was as if he brought his WHOLE ENTIRE BLOCK with him, but he did his thing. And although I had caught their set before, this was actually the first time I saw Pages with the Out Of Hand Band, which was SURPRISINGLY DOPE! I'm really feelin' their live set, so hopefully they'll keep it that way.
Big shouts out to all of my Broward peeps:
MR. LOLO and the whole Took Something Entertainment family!
PSYCHO SOUTH and their squad... sorry about the wait, guys... I GOT YOU NEXT TIME FOR SURE!!! They finally killed it around 3:30 am, so you know everybody was TIRED!
My homie DOX, who came through with a SQUAD of DIMEPIECES!!! Good lookin' out, my nig. Oh and he had a couple of dope songs, too. lol
There were a couple of mishaps, though... Protoman had some problems and could not make it... also Swazy Stylez left early and did not get to go on (my bad, man... get at me, though)... and City Of God ended up getting a couple of their cars towed, so they had to leave to handle that. Obviously, NOT a good look. I apologize for that, my people.
Maybe next time we can set up a valet outside PS, to make sure that never happens again.
Shouts to CarShowKing.com, 305HipHop.com, RapReport.com, GasFaceFilms.com, Frontline TV, Talent TV, and everybody else who came out to support. I appreciate the love.
I'm pretty sure that's it, but if I forgot anybody, blame it on Fay!!!
